Physicals
Annual Physical
All insurances allow for an annual physical visit or a preventive encounter with your PCP. This is the opportunity where co-pays and lab costs may be waived and is the perfect chance to discuss immunizations and age appropriate screening tests that need to be done such as colonoscopies and mammograms.
Kinder Physicals
This physical exam is needed to enter kindergarten. During this physical, we examine patient’s health and review the developmental history. We take measurements including vital signs, weight, height, visual acuity, hearing deficit screening, and also check for tuberculosis risk factors and perform testing if needed. Lastly, review of immunization records to make sure that the patient is up to date on his/her vaccines for school entry is done. There is a form that would need to be filled out and turned into school.
Sport Physicals
A sports physical focuses on an athlete's health history and physical exam prior to participation in team sports. There is a school form that needs to be presented and a check on previous concussions and any physical limitations are evaluated.
DMV Physical
This is a physical exam that is required of people who wish to have a class A driver’s license in order to drive commercial trucks or large vehicles. The point of a DOT physical is to make sure that people who are driving commercial motor vehicles are physically, mentally, and emotionally fit. During this physical, our practitioner will obtain a medical history, check vitals, and perform screening tests such as a UA, vision, and hearing check.
